But these models are only as sound as their underlying data, making testing the reliability and accuracy of these inputs paramount.
By establishing a commission of leading experts from across government, non-profits, and industry to set standards and vet the underlying data, this bill would help ensure that both public and private sector stakeholders can count on trusted weather risk models in times of crisis. We encourage Congress to swiftly consider and advance this important legislation.
