BuildStrong Coalition Statement Included as Part of House Committee Hearing on Housing Resilience

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The BuildStrong Coalition submitted a statement for the record to the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development and Insurance, which was included during today’s hearing on housing resilience and climate change issues. The hearing, titled “Examining Housing Resilience in the Face of Climate Change,” featured testimony from insurance, housing, and climate experts.

“We’re honored the various committees of congress continue to turn to BuildStrong for our expert guidance and experience when it comes to strengthening our country’s resilience capabilities,” said Coalition Executive Director Pamela Williams. “Resilience is a wide-ranging, big-tent issue and we’re encouraged that members from different backgrounds, districts, and committees are focused on making the right investments in housing and other forms of mitigation against disasters.”
